Frequent questions

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions and Perla. Cancelling turns off renewal; access normally continues until the date shown by Apple. Billing and refunds are handled by Apple.

I already paid. How do I restore access?

On Perla's subscription screen, tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account used for the purchase. If access still does not return, contact us and include the plan name and what the screen shows. Do not send cycle or health data.

Why are predictions or insights limited at first?

Perla needs your own observations before it can show recorded patterns. Period estimates update as you log more cycles; individual cycles can still differ. Symptom forecasts need repeated symptom history. AI insights require a compatible Apple Intelligence device and enough recent data.

Can I use Perla as contraception or medical advice?

No. Cycle dates, fertile-window estimates, and AI text are informational estimates. They are not a contraceptive method, diagnosis, or substitute for a qualified clinician.

What does Apple Health sync?

With permission, Perla can import supported cycle history once, write supported observations you log in Perla, and read Apple Watch sleeping wrist-temperature samples for ongoing trends. Permissions are separate, and later edits or deletions are not guaranteed to mirror between apps.

Why is on-device AI unavailable?

It requires a compatible device and iOS version with Apple Intelligence enabled, supported for your language, and ready on the device. Perla does not send your health data to a cloud AI service as a fallback.

How does encrypted iCloud backup work?

Backup is optional. Perla encrypts your records on your phone before uploading them to your iCloud account. Save and confirm your recovery key before enabling backup. You need that key to restore on another device, and Perla cannot recover a lost key. Keep the key private and do not send it to support. Apple's device backup is separate.

What does personal accuracy measure?

If you enable prediction capture, Perla saves forecasts on your device and compares them with period starts you log later. This shows how past forecasts matched your own records. It does not confirm ovulation or measure clinical accuracy, and it does not guarantee future results.

Where is my data, and how do I remove it?

Health and cycle entries are stored on your device. Optional Apple Health access, Perla iCloud backup and exports are controlled in Settings. Your Data has separate device and Perla iCloud deletion controls. Apple Health, device backups and previously shared copies remain. Perla does not send health entries to RevenueCat; it receives purchase information and an anonymous subscriber identifier for subscriptions.

Still stuck?

Email us with your iPhone model, iOS version, and the step where the problem occurred. A screenshot is helpful if it contains no health information.
